UPDATE: The deal is official.

Precious Achiuwa is coming off a solid year for the Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks.

He finished the season with averages of 7.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 50.1% from the field and 26.8% from the three-point range in 74 games.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Achiuwa is re-signing with New York.

Via Wojnarowski: "Precious Achiuwa has agreed on a one-year, $6 million deal to return to the Knicks, his representative Raymond Brothers tells ESPN."

Achiuwa was the 20th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft out of Memphis.

He has played four seasons for the Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks.

His career averages are 7.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 48.1% from the field and 30.7% from the three-point range in 263 regular season games.

SNY's Ian Begley reported more details.

Via Begley: "Precious Achiuwa’s deal with the Knicks is for one year and $6M, his agent Raymond Brothers tells SNY. Achiuwa waived his no-trade clause as part of the deal, per SNY sources. As previously noted, Achiuwa had drawn interest from other contenders."

The Knicks have one of the best rosters in the NBA and are coming off a year where they were the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 50-32 record.

They beat Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs but lost to the Indiana Pacers in Game 7 of the second round.
