Andrew Wiggins' Official Injury Status For Warriors-Lakers Game
UPDATE: Andrew Wiggins is available for Game 6.
On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors will be in Los Angeles to face off with the Lakers at Crypto.com Arena for Game 6 of their second-round playoff series.
They fought off elimination in Game 5 on Wednesday night (in San Francisco), defeating the Lakers by a score of 121-106.
The series is 3-2 in favor of the Lakers, so the Warriors still have to win the rest of the way.
2022 NBA All-Star Andrew Wiggins played a significant role in Wednesday's victory, putting up 25 points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal while shooting 10/18 from the field in 36 minutes of playing time.
For Game 6, Wiggins has been officially listed as questionable due to a rib injury.
Via Underdog NBA: "Andrew Wiggins (ribs) listed questionable for Friday."
The former Kansas star has played in every game of the 2023 NBA playoffs, with averages of 17.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 46.8% from the field.
Last year, he played a massive role in the Warriors winning the 2022 NBA Championship over the Boston Celtics.
This year, it's been an up-and-down season for the Warriors, but they finished as the sixth seed in the Western Conference and beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round (in seven games).
On Thursday evening, Anthony Slater and Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic reported the latest on Wiggins.
If the Warriors win Game 6, they will host Game 7 in San Francisco on Sunday.
The winner of the series will advance to the Western Conference Finals.
