UPDATE: Anthony Davis is available.

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Memphis Grizzlies in California for Game 6 of their first-round playoff series.

For the game, Anthony Davis is on the injury report.

However, the eight-time NBA All-Star is listed as probable, so he should be in the starting lineup.

Davis has had a good series with averages of 21.8 points, 13.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 4.2 blocks per contest while shooting 47.3% from the field.

The former Kentucky star is in his 11th season in the NBA and his fourth playing for the Lakers.

In 2020, he helped lead the franchise to its first NBA Championship since the 2010 season.

Currently, the Lakers lead the Grizzlies 3-2, so they can end the series with a victory on Friday night.

In Game 5, the Grizzlies were able to avoid elimination by winning 116-99 on their home floor.

Desmond Bane and Ja Morant combined to put up 64 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists.

That said, the Grizzlies have been lousy on the road this year and are just 16-27 in the 43 games they have played away from Memphis.

The winner of the series will advance to the second round and face off against either the Sacramento Kings or Golden State Warriors.

That series is currently 3-2 in favor of the Warriors, and the two teams will also play Game 6 on Friday night (in San Francisco).

Last year, the Grizzlies lost in the second round of the playoffs, while the Lakers missed the postseason.
