UPDATE: Anthony Davis' Injury Status For Lakers-Timberwolves Game

Anthony Davis is on the injury report for Friday's game.

UPDATE: Anthony Davis has been upgraded to available.  

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will be on the road to face off with the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.  

For the game, Anthony Davis is on the injury report.  

That said, the eight-time NBA All-Star is listed as probable, so he should end up being available.

Davis is in the middle of another sensational season with averages of 26.1 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest in 50 games while shooting 56.7% from the field. 

He is in his fourth season playing for the Lakers and helped lead them to the NBA Championship in 2020. 

That said, the team is coming off a season where they went just 33-49 and missed the playoffs. 

Right now, the Lakers are 38-38 in 76 games, which has them as the ninth seed (one of the final two play-in tournament spots) in the Western Conference. 

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and 17-20 in the 37 games they have played on the road. 

As for the Timberwolves, they are tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for the seventh seed in the west and have a 39-38 record in 77 games. 

Over the last ten games, they have gone 5-5, and they are 21-17 in the 38 games they have hosted at the Target Center. 

Last year, the Timberwolves made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season (when they still had Jimmy Butler).
