On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will be at the Target Center to face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves.  

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as Anthony Davis is on the injury report.

Davis has played in 26 games so far this season and is averaging 24.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 blocks per contest while shooting 54.6% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range. 

The Lakers are 15-13 in their first 28 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak. 

Most recently, the Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls at the United Center by a score of 124-108. 

In 38 minutes of playing time, Davis had 19 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 7/15 from the field. 

Following the Timberwolves, the Lakers will play their next game on Saturday when they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

As for the Timberwolves, they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 20-6 record in their first 26 games. 

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently lost to Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 127-113. 

Following the Lakers, the Timberwolves will play their next game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday evening in California.
