On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder in California.   

For the game, they have listed eight-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis as probable.

Davis had missed 20 games in a row but has returned and played in five out of the last six games. 

The former Kentucky star is in the middle of a remarkable season with averages of 27.1 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest. 

He is also shooting 57.5% from the field and has recorded 31+ points and 14+ rebounds over the last two games. 

The Lakers will need him to remain healthy for the rest of the season because they are currently outside of the playoff picture.

Through 54 games, they have gone 25-29, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and 13-12 in the 25 games they have hosted at home in Los Angeles, California.

Despite their poor record, the west has been tight, so the Lakers are only 3.5 games out of the fifth seed.

As for the Thunder, they enter the evening one spot ahead of the Lakers (12th seed) with a 25-28 record in 53 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games but just 9-17 in the 26 games they have played on the road away from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Both teams missed the NBA Playoffs during the 2021-22 season.
