On Monday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves are in Florida facing off against the Miami Heat.

During the game, Anthony Edwards had a huge block that got a lot of attention on social media

Tyler Herro went up for a shot at the rim, and Edwards swatted the ball out of bounds.

Edwards came into the night with averages of 24.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 44.7% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range in 21 games.

The Timberwolves are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 19-5 record in their first 24 games.

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Most recently, the Timberwolves defeated the Indiana Pacers by a score of 127-109.

In 34 minutes of playing time, Edwards had 37 points, two rebounds, four assists and three steals while shooting 44.7% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range.

Following the Heat, the Timberwolves will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers.

Edwards was the first pick in the 2020 NBA Draft out of Georgia and is in his fourth season in the NBA (all with the Timberwolves).

He has established himself among the best guards in the league and helped lead the Timberwolves to the NBA playoffs in each of the previous two seasons.

His career averages are 22.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals per contest.
