On Tuesday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in Oregon for a showdown with the Portland Trail Blazers.
For the game, the Timberwolves could be without their best player, as All-Star guard Anthony Edwards is on the injury report.
Via Alan Horton: "Anthony Edwards has been added to the Wolves injury report with right knee soreness -- he's QUESTIONABLE to play vs. Blazers tonight."
Edwards is currently averaging 25.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 38.3% from the three-point range in 50 games.
The Timberwolves are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 37-16 record in 53 games.
They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games.
In their most recent victory, the Timberwolves beat Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Clippers (in California) by a score of 121-100.
In 32 minutes of playing time, Edwards had 23 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and one steal while shooting 8/18 from the field and 1/11 from the three-point range.
On the road, the Timberwolves are 18-11 in the 29 games they have played away from the Target Center.
As for the Trail Blazers, they enter the matchup with a 15-37 record in 52 games.
They are 3-7 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a four-game losing streak.
Following Tuesday's game, the Timberwolves and Trail Blazers will face off (again) on Thursday evening in Oregon.
