The Chicago Bulls received terrible news on Friday about their second-year forward Patrick Williams.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski (tweets below), Williams "is expected to miss the rest of the regular season a left wrist dislocation."

Wojnarowski's first tweet said: "Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams is expected to miss the rest of the regular season with a left wrist dislocation, source tells ESPN. He will undergo surgery soon."

Wojnarowski's second tweet said: "Williams, the fourth pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, showed terrific progress in summer league. He landed on his wrist on a drive to the rim after getting caught up in the air by New York's Mitchell Robinson on Thursday night."

Wojnarowski's third tweet said: "Williams suffered a perilunate dislocation, source tells ESPN. There's hope a timetable on a return could include the playoffs, but as Billy Donovan told reporters today, this is a "pretty significant wrist injury.""

This is obviously tough news for a Bulls team that has started the season with a 4-1 record.

Williams averaged 9.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for the Bulls during his rookie season, while also shooting over 39% from the three-point range.

He is a good complimentary player for Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine.

He'd been averaging 25 minutes per game, so they will have to find a way for their other role players to step up in his place.

The Bulls lost their first game of the season to the New York Knicks on Thursday night at home, and will host the Utah Jazz on Saturday night.
