On Wednesday evening, the Miami Heat will be at Madison Square Garden in New York City to face off against the New York Knicks for Game 5 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, Bam Adebayo is listed on the injury report as available.

NBA's official injury report

The former Kentucky star is one of the team's most important players and has averages of 17.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field through the first nine games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Despite finishing as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Heat have one of the most talented rosters in the league.

In the first round, they beat Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks (who were the first seed) in just five games.

Currently, the Heat are up 3-1 on the Knicks, so they can close out the series with a victory on Wednesday night.

If the Knicks are able to survive, then Game 6 would be back in Miami on Friday night (a potential Game 7 would be in New York on Monday).

Adebayo is in his sixth season in the league (all with the Heat) and has helped them make the Eastern Conference Finals in two of the previous three seasons.

They made the NBA Finals in 2020 and lost in Game 7 of the Conference Finals in 2022.

Whoever wins the series will face off against either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2023 Conference Finals.
