Bam Adebayo's Status For Celtics-Heat Game
On Saturday evening, the Miami Heat will host the Boston Celtics in Florida for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
For the game, they will have their All-Star center in the starting lineup, as Bam Adebayo is listed as available on the injury report.
Adebayo is one of the team's most important players and is their top defender.
The former Kentucky star finished the regular season with impressive averages of 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 54.0% from the field.
He is in his sixth season in the league (all with the Heat) and has helped them make the NBA Playoffs in each of the last four seasons.
The Heat are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, but they have an extremely talented roster and have already defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (first seed) and New York Knicks (fifth seed) through the first two rounds.
They started off the series with the Celtics by winning the first three games, but the Celtics have now responded with two straight victories.
If the Heat win on Saturday, they will advance to the NBA Finals and face off against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets (who swept the Los Angeles Lakers).
On the other hand, the Celtics will force a Game 7 back in Boston on Monday if they are able to pull off another win.
This is the third time in the previous four seasons that the two teams have faced off in the Conference Finals.
In 2020, the Heat won, and in 2022 the Celtics won, but each team lost in the NBA Finals.
