Bam Adebayo's Updated Injury Status For Heat-Wizards Game

Bam Adebayo has been ruled out for Friday's game between the Miami Heat and Washington Wizards.

The Miami Heat are in Washington, D.C., to take on the Wizards on Friday night, but for the game, they will be without their star center.

Bam Adebayo has been ruled out for the second straight game due to a knee injury.

Underdog NBA: "Bam Adebayo (knee) ruled out Friday."

On the season, the 2020 NBA All-Star is averaging 19.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals per contest.

In the most recent game he played in, he had 30 points and ten rebounds on 50% shooting from the field.

He is one of the team's most important players on both offense and defense.

The Heat come into the night with a 7-8 record, which has them as the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They had been on a three-game winning streak but lost their most recent game in Canada against the Toronto Raptors.

On the road, they are also struggling in a big way (1-4 in five games away from Miami).

Last season, they were the first seed in the east and made it all the way to Game 7 of the Conference Finals.

Therefore, the slow start has been puzzling, considering they have a very similar roster.

The Wizards will not be an easy task because they are 8-7 in their first 15 games and have won four out of the last five.

Kyle Kuzma, Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis make up a uniquely talented roster.

At home, they have been solid, with a 5-4 record in nine games.
