FINAL UPDATE: Ben Simmons' Injury Status For Nets-Bulls Game

Ben Simmons is on the injury report for Friday's game.

FINAL UPDATE: Ben Simmons has been ruled out.

On Friday night, the Brooklyn Nets will be in Illinois to face off with the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

For the game, they could be without three-time NBA All-Star Ben Simmons, who is listed as questionable due to a knee injury.

Underdog NBA: "Ben Simmons (knee) questionable for Friday."

The former LSU star has had an up-and-down season with averages of 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest in 42 games (while shooting 56.6% from the field).

He is in his first season playing for the Nets (after being traded in the middle of last season from the Philadelphia 76ers) and is still only 26 years old.

At one point, Simmons was seen as one of the best young stars in basketball.

Right now, the Nets are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 34-24 record in 58 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and 16-13 in the 29 games they have played on the road away from Barclays Center.

The team is much different following the trading deadline, as they no longer have superstar Kevin Durant (traded to Phoenix Suns) and Kyrie Irving (traded to Dallas Mavericks).

Meanwhile, the Bulls are the 11th seed in the east with a 26-33 record in 59 games.

Over the last ten games, they are 3-7, and they are also in the middle of a six-game losing streak.

At home, the Bulls have been solid, going 16-13 in 19 games hosted at the United Center.
