Ben Simmons' Official Status For Nets-Magic Game
On Tuesday evening, the Brooklyn Nets will be in Florida for a matchup with the Orlando Magic.
For the game, the Nets will be without one of their best players, as three-time NBA All-Star Ben Simmons has been ruled out.
Via Brian Lewis of The New York Post on Monday: "Ben Simmons isn't cleared for back to backs, so will be out for the #Nets tomorrow at the #Magic."
Simmons has played in 15 games this season and is averaging 6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists per contest while shooting 58.1% from the field.
The Nets are the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 22-35 record in 57 games.
They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 111-86.
Simmons had four points, six rebounds and three assists while shooting 2/2 from the field in 14 minutes of playing time.
Following the Magic, the Nets will host Dejounte Murray and the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday evening at Barclays Center.
As for the Magic, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and have a 32-26 record in 58 games.
They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Hawks by a score of 109-92.
Franz Wagner led the team with 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists and one steal.
Following the Nets, the Magic will remain at home to host Jordan Clarkson and the Utah Jazz on Thursday evening in Orlando, Florida.
