Boston Celtics Injury Report For Game 1
On Wednesday evening, the Boston Celtics are hosting the Miami Heat for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
For the game, they have announced their injury report (updated as of 5:30 Eastern Time).
The Celtics have ruled out Danilo Gallinari, while All-Star forward Jaylen Brown is listed as available.
Since Gallinari has yet to play this season, the Celtics are essentially fully healthy for Game 1.
The Celtics are the second seed in the Eastern Conference and coming off a season where they made the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010.
In the first two rounds, they have beaten the Atlanta Hawks (in six games) and the Philadelphia 76ers (in seven games).
Their series with the 76ers was the only one in the second to go seven games, and they trailed 3-2 going into Game 6 on the road.
While the Celtics are in the Eastern Conference Finals for the fifth time in the last seven seasons, they have not won the NBA Championship since 2008.
In 2022, they beat the Heat in Game 7 of the Conference Finals, and the two teams are facing off for the third time in the previous four seasons (in the Conference Finals).
The Heat had an up-and-down season and are the eighth seed, but they've pulled off impressive victories in the first two rounds.
They defeated Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks (who were the first seed) in five games and the New York Knicks (who were the fifth seed) in six games.
