Key Boston Celtics Player Could Miss Game 6
On Saturday evening, the Boston Celtics will be in Florida to face off against the Miami Heat for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
For the game, the Celtics could be without one of their best players.
2023 6th Man of The Year Malcolm Brogdon is listed as questionable on the injury report due to a forearm injury.
The former Virginia star is in his first season with the Celtics and had a stellar year with averages of 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest.
In addition, Brogdon shot an excellent 48.4% from the field and 44.4% from the three-point range.
Through the first five games of the series, the Heat have a 3-2 lead.
Therefore, the Celtics will need a victory to avoid elimination and force a Game 7 back in Boston on Monday.
They have already come back from losing the first three games.
No team in the history of the NBA has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit in a Playoff series.
The Celtics finished the regular season as the second seed in the Eastern Conference and have defeated the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers through the first two rounds.
Last year, the franchise made the NBA Finals for the first time since the 2010 season (they lost to the Golden State Warriors), and they are in the Eastern Conference Finals for the fifth time in the previous seven seasons.
The winner of the series will advance to the 2023 NBA Finals and face off against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.
