On Sunday evening, the Phoenix Suns will host the Washington Wizards in Arizona.

However, they will be without one of their best players, as Bradley Beal has been ruled out.

The three-time NBA All-Star got injured during the team's last game.

Via Underdog NBA: "Bradley Beal (ankle) ruled out for Sunday."

Following the news, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported an injury update on Beal.

Via Charania: "Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal is likely to miss a few weeks with his right ankle injury, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Good news for Beal is testing showed no major ankle damage, but it's another setback for Beal after the scary landing on a Knicks closeout Friday night."

Beal has played in six games so far this season and has averages of 14.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point range.

The Suns ended up losing Friday's game to the New York Knicks (at home) by a score of 139-122.

They are 13-12 in their first 25 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.

In addition, the Suns are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 4-6 over their last ten games.

Beal spent the first 11 seasons of his NBA career with the Wizards before getting traded to the Suns over the offseason.

The 30-year-old has career averages of 22.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.
