The former Kentucky star is in the middle of a tremendous season with averages of 26.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest (while shooting 57.8% from the field).
Davis recently missed 20 games in a row but has returned and played in four out of the last five.
Due to his lack of availability, it should be no surprise that the Lakers have had a mediocre season and are currently 25-28 in 53 games.
They are tied with the Oklahoma City Thunderer for the 12th seed in the Western Conference.
Davis had spent the first seven seasons of his career with New Orleans before being traded to the Lakers in the summer of 2019.
The following season, he helped lead them to the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.
Over the last ten games, the Lakers have gone 6-4, and they are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
That said, they are 12-16 in 28 games on the road.
The Lakers are catching the Pelicans at a good time, as they have lost ten games in a row.
After being one of the best teams in the NBA, they are now 26-27 in 53 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
