Via Underdog NBA: "Status alert: Anthony Davis (shoulder) headed to locker room Sunday."
The former Kentucky star has played 18 minutes and put up ten points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and five blocks.
He had another sensational regular season with averages of 25.9 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest in 56 games while shooting 56.3% from the field.
Sunday's game is currently at halftime, and the Grizzlies lead 65-59 behind Jaren Jackson Jr.'s 19 points, five rebounds and two blocks in 19 minutes of playing time.
There has yet to be a word from the team on the availability of Davis for the rest of the contest.
The Lakers are the seventh seed and finished the season with a 43-39 record (they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in the play-in tournament).
They went 8-2 over their final ten games and are in the middle of a three-game winning streak.
In 2020, Davis helped lead the Lakers to the NBA Championship over the Miami Heat, but they are coming off a season where they went just 33-49 and missed the postseason.
