UPDATE: Anthony Davis has been ruled out for the remainder of the game (h/t Jovan Buha of The Athletic).  

UPDATE: Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported the latest. 

Via Charania: "Lakers’ Anthony Davis has suffered a corneal abrasion, sources say. He remains in locker room vs. Warriors."

UPDATE: Anthony Davis is still in the locker room at the start of the third quarter (h/t Underdog NBA).  

On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors at Crypto.com Arena. 

During the first quarter, All-Star forward Anthony Davis went to the locker room with an injury.   

Via Underdog NBA: "Status alert: Anthony Davis (eye) headed to locker room Saturday."

Davis did not come out of the locker room for the entire second quarter (h/t Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet).

He has played 12 minutes and has eight points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block while shooting 3/6 from the field. 

There has been no update from the Lakers on his status for the remainder of the night. 

Via Trudell: "With Anthony Davis in the locker room for the entire 2nd Q dealing with an eye injury, GSW erased what was as much as a 7-point lead to take a 67-66 lead at the half."

Davis entered the evening with averages of 24.7 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.4 blocks per contest while shooting 55.2% from the field and 26.3% from the three-point range in 63 games.  

The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 36-31 record in 67 games. 

Following the Warriors, they will play their next game on Monday evening when they host Dejounte Murray and the Atlanta Hawks. 

As for the Warriors, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-31 record in 65 games.
