BREAKING: Anthony Edwards' Final Injury Status For Timberwolves-Raptors Game

Anthony Edwards has been ruled out for Saturday's game.

On Saturday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in Canada to face off with the Toronto Raptors. 

However, they will be without one of their best players, as Anthony Edwards has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.

The former UGA star got injured during Friday's 139-131 loss to the Chicago Bulls at the United Center Illinois. 

This will be the first game of the season that Edwards has missed. 

The 2020 first-overall pick is averaging an outstanding 24.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest in 71 games.  

He is also shooting 46.1% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range. 

As for the Timberwolves, they are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 35-36 record in 71 games. 

Over the last ten games, they have gone 4-6, and they are 15-19 in the 34 games they have played on the road away from the Target Center in Minnesota.

Last season, Edwards helped lead them to the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2018. 

Meanwhile, the Raptors are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 34-36 record in 70 games. 

They are 5-5 in their last ten games but also in the middle of a two-game winning streak and excellent on their home floor. 

In the 35 games that the Raptors have hosted in Canada, they have gone 22-13. 

They are coming off a season where they were the fifth seed.
