However, he has missed each of the previous ten games, and the Chicago Bulls have now announced that Williams has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Via The Chicago Bulls: "Injury Update: Patrick Williams, who has been sidelined since Jan 25 with initial bone edema in his left foot, recently underwent routine subsequent imaging revealing the progression of his foot stress reaction.
He will undergo surgery and be out for the remainder of the season."
Williams was the fourth pick in the 2020 NBA Draft out of Florida State and is in his fourth season in the league (all with Chicago).
His career averages are 9.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 46.9% from the field and 41.0% from the three-point range in 213 regular season games.
The 22-year-old has also appeared in five NBA playoff games.
The Bulls have had a tough season and are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 26-30 record in 56 games.
They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
On Sunday evening, the Bulls will play their next game when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans in Louisiana.
The Bulls made the NBA playoffs in 2022 but are coming off a season where they lost to the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament.
