The future Hall of Famer is 37-years-old, but still among the best point guards in the league.
He is averaging 13.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 2.0 steals per contest through the first six games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
Paul's status will have significant implications for the series.
There has been no word yet from the team on whether he can return.
The Suns are the fourth seed in the Western Conference and beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round in five games.
Paul was traded to the franchise (via the Oklahoma City Thunder) in the summer of 2020 and has helped them become one of the best teams in the league.
In 2021, they made the NBA Finals, and last season they had the best record (64-18) during the regular season.
After trading for 13-time All-Star Kevin Durant (in February), the Suns now have arguably the best starting lineup in the NBA.
Whoever wins the series will advance to the Western Conference Finals and face off against either the Golden State Warriors or the Los Angeles Lakers.
