The Memphis Grizzlies hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder in Tennessee on Friday night, but All-Star point guard Ja Morant appeared to hurt his ankle in the fourth quarter.

After a shot at the rim, he could be seen landing on his feet in pain.

The former second-overall pick had to be helped to the locker room with just over three minutes left in the game, and he did not return.

He exited the game playing 32 minutes and putting up 19 points, eight rebounds, 11 assists and one block.

Morant has become one of the biggest stars in the NBA and came into the night averaging 29.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.2 steals per contest.

He's also been shooting the ball at an exceptional rate (48% from the field and 40.3% from the three-point range).

The Grizzlies were able to win the game 121-110 to improve to 10-6 in their first 16 games of the season.

Jaren Jackson Jr. finished his night with 25 points and 13 rebounds, and John Konchar had 19 points and ten rebounds.

Last season, Morant led the Grizzlies to the second-best record in the entire NBA, and they won a playoff series (over the Minnesota Timberwolves in six games).

They are a very young team, but Morant's stardom has turned them into one of the premier teams in the league.

The Grizzlies will play their next game on Sunday night against Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center in New York.
