BREAKING: Jimmy Butler's Final Injury Status For Knicks-Heat Game

Jimmy Butler has been upgraded to available for Game 6.

On Friday evening, the Miami Heat are hosting the New York Knicks for Game 6 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, they will have their best player in the starting lineup as Jimmy Butler has been upgraded to available.

Via Underdog NBA: "Jimmy Butler (ankle) available to play Friday."

Butler missed Game 2 with an ankle injury, but has played in each of the previous three games.

The six-time NBA All-Star is having a sensational 2023 Playoffs with averages of 31.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.9 steals per contest while shooting 55.1% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range.

He is in his fourth season playing for the Heat, and has led them to the Eastern Conference Finals in two out of the last three seasons.

In 2020, they made the NBA Finals and last year they lost in Game 7 of the Conference Finals.

This season, the Heat are the eighth seed, but they have already beaten the Milwaukee Bucks (who were the first seed) and are up 3-2 on the Knicks.

If they win Game 6, the series will be over and they will advance to the Conference Finals.

That said, the Knicks can force a Game 7 back at Madison Square Garden in New York City, which would be on Monday.

Whoever wins the series will face off against either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers (the series is tied up at 3-3 with Game 7 on Sunday in Boston).
