BREAKING: Joel Embiid's Final Injury Status For Celtics-76ers Game /

On Friday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Boston Celtics for Game 3 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, they will have their best player in the starting lineup, as Joel Embiid has been upgraded to available.

The 2023 NBA MVP missed two games in a row but returned for Game 2 on Wednesday evening.

Ironically, the 76ers won the first game without him but lost the second game (with him).

Via Underdog NBA: "Joel Embiid (knee) will start Friday."

Embiid had an unbelievable regular season with averages of 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 blocks per contest.

He is in his seventh season playing in the NBA and has led the 76ers to the playoffs for six straight seasons.

That said, the superstar center has never made it out of the second round.

With the two teams tied up at 1-1, they will have an excellent chance to take control of the series as Games 3 and 4 are both on their home floor.

The 76ers are an outstanding 31-12 in the 43 games they have hosted in Philadelphia.

They are the third seed in the Eastern Conference and swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round.

As long as they stay healthy, the 76ers could make a run to the NBA Finals.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are the second seed and beat the Atlanta Hawks in the first round.

On the road, they are 27-17 in 34 games away from Boston.
