BREAKING: Nikola Jokic's Injury Status In Nuggets-Knicks Game

Via ESPN's Tim Bontemps: "Nikola Jokic's eye was clearly red after getting accidentally poked in it by Donte DiVincenzo in the first half of tonight's game.
He said after it initially felt better, it felt worse postgame. Unclear if it will have an impact on Jokic's availability for Saturday vs. Philly."

On Thursday evening, the Denver Nuggets are playing Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.
During the first half, two-time MVP Nikola Jokic went to the locker room after being inadvertently poked in the eye.
Jokic has 17 points, eight rebounds and two assists while shooting 7/11 from the field and 1/1 from the three-point range in 15 minutes of playing time.
There has been no word from the team on his status for the remainder of the night.

Kristian Winfield of The New York Daily News reported more details on what happened.
Via Winfield: "Nikola Jokic spent several moments down after taking an eye poke from Donte DiVincenzo. He had to be looked at by a team trainer and is holding a towel over his eye while sitting on the bench. He has to shoot the 2 free throws to stay in the game."
Jokic took the two free throws, so he is eligible to return to the game.
The Nuggets are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 31-14 record in their first 45 games.
They are coming off a 114-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday evening (in Indianapolis).
Following New York, the Nuggets will return home to host Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday in Colorado.
