On Thursday evening, the Miami Heat are facing off against the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena in Colorado for Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

The Heat have played without 2022 6th Man of The Year Tyler Herro for over six weeks after he hurt his hand in Game 1 of the Playoffs.

For Game 2, they will remain without the former Kentucky star, as the team has officially ruled him out.

Via The Heat: "#DENvsMIA INJURY UPDATE: Caleb Martin (illness) will be available to play in tonight’s #NBAFinals Game 2 vs the Nuggets.

Tyler Herro (hand) has been ruled out."

Herro is coming off another fantastic regular season with averages of 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range.

He is in his fourth season in the NBA (all with the Heat) and has helped them make the NBA Playoffs every year.

This is the second time in the previous four seasons the franchise has made the NBA Finals (and they have also been to the Conference Finals three times in that span).

The Heat are only the second 8th seed to reach the NBA Finals and have defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics through the first three rounds.

They lost Game 1 of the series (also in Denver) by a score of 104-93 on Thursday night.

As for the Nuggets, they are the first seed and have beaten the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers.
