On Friday night, the Indiana Pacers were taking on the Houston Rockets in Texas.

They pulled off a 99-91 win, but the more significant concern was that Tyrese Haliburton got injured in the fourth quarter.

Via Zach Pearson of Pacers Press: "Tyrese Haliburton is now being helped off the court. Putting some weight on his foot that seemed to be stepped on. Not a great sight at the end of the game."

Haliburton finished his night with 19 points, five rebounds and eight assists in 36 minutes of playing time.

The Pacers are now 8-6 in their first 14 games of the season, and a large part of their success has been the play of Haliburton.

He came into the night averaging 20.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 10.4 assists per contest.

In addition, he has been active on defense averaging 1.8 steals per contest.

The Pacers acquired the 22-year-old in a trade with the Sacramento Kings last season (they traded away two-time NBA All-Star Domantas Sabonis), and the deal has looked incredible.

For a team that is rebuilding, to have a player at his age putting up those numbers (and contributing to winning) is impressive.

Coming into the season, the Pacers were seen as one of the worst teams in the league.

Yet, they have a better record than the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and other notable teams.

The Pacers will play their next game against the Orlando Magic on Saturday night at home in Indianapolis.
