On Sunday evening, the Miami Heat beat the Denver Nuggets by a score of 111-108 at Ball Arena in Colorado.

The Heat had lost Game 1 (on Thursday in Denver) by a score of 104-93, so they were able to tie up the series at 1-1 before going to Miami for Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Friday.

Caleb Martin came off the bench (Kevin Love got the start) and finished with three points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block while shooting 1/3 from the field in 21 minutes of playing time.

The 27-year-old missed Saturday's practice due to an illness, and Jared Greenberg of NBA TV reported an update on Martin following the victory.

Via Greenberg: "Caleb Martin was sitting with a towel over his head postgame in front of his locker. He told me he has been suffering with migraines and cold chills. COVID has been ruled out. Despite feeling ill, Martin came off the bench in game 2, playing 21 minutes. @NBATV"

Martin has been one of the best players on the team during the 2023 NBA Playoffs and has averages of 13.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 54.5% from the field and 44.1% from the three-point range through the first 20 games.

The Heat have had a miraculous run through the postseason, beating the Milwaukee Bucks (first seed), New York Knicks (fifth seed) and Boston Celtics (second seed).

This is their second time in the Finals in the previous four seasons.
