Cavs And Nets Final Injury Reports And Starting Lineups

On Wednesday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets will face off at Barclays Center in New York for their first game of the regular season.
For the game, both teams have finalized their injury reports and starting lineups.
The Cavs have ruled out Jarrett Allen, Ricky Rubio and Dean Wade, while 2022 NBA All-Star Darius Garland has been upgraded to available.
Garland is coming off an impressive year where he averaged 21.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 41.0% from the three-point range.
Darius Garland (hamstring) will start Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Nets have ruled out Dariq Whitehead, and no one else is on their injury report.

The starting lineups for both teams have been announced by Underdog NBA.

The Cavs are coming off a year where they were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 51-31 record.
They made the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season (when LeBron James was still on the roster).
However, the Cavs lost to the New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs (in five games).

As for the Nets, they are coming off a season where they were the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 45-37 record.
They were able to make the NBA playoffs but got swept by Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round.
