D'Angelo Russell's Final Injury Status For Lakers-Jazz Game
On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will be in Salt Lake City to face off with the Utah Jazz.
For the game, they will remain without their star point guard, as D'Angelo Russell has been ruled out due to a foot injury.
Via ESPN's Dave McMenamin: "Darvin Ham says D’Angelo Russell will be held out for precautionary reasons with his sore left foot. Ham says Russell has dealt with the foot for more than a year and it was “bad timing” with the discomfort flaring up. Ham said the team would determine Russell’s status moving forward - as well as AD and LeBron’s - after the Jazz game for the second night of the back-to-back coming tomorrow against the Clippers."
Russell is in the middle of a fantastic season with averages of 17.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 68 games.
He is also shooting a tremendous 46.7% from the field and 39.2% from the three-point range.
The 2019 NBA All-Star was traded to the Lakers in February and has helped them turn their season around.
They are 7-3 in their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game winning streak.
Right now, the Lakers are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 40-38 record in 78 games.
They are only a half-game back of the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot).
As for the Jazz, they are the 12th seed in the west with a 36-42 record in 78 games.
