Darius Garland's Current Status For Hornets-Cavs Game

On Sunday afternoon, the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Charlotte Hornets in Ohio.
For the game, the Cavs will likely be without one of their best players, as 2022 NBA All-Star Darius Garland is on the injury report.

Garland has had another productive season with averages of 18.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 44.6% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 57 games.
The Cavs are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 48-33 record in 81 games.
They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Most recently, the Cavs beat the Indiana Pacers (at home) by a score of 129-120.
Garland finished with 16 points, two rebounds and four assists while shooting 6/11 from the field and 4/5 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time.
The Cavs will make the NBA playoffs for the second straight season.

As for the Hornets, they have had a tough year and are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 20-61 record in 81 games.
They have gone 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Boston Celtics (on the road) by a score of 131-98.
The Hornets will miss the postseason for the eighth straight year.
