UPDATE: De'Aaron Fox's Injury Status Following Lakers-Kings Game /

UPDATE: Shams Charania and Sam Amick of The Athletic reported an update.

Via Charania: "Kings All-Star De’Aaron Fox has avoided significant injury, but has sustained a moderate sprain of his right ankle and he is likely to miss some time, sources tell me and @sam_amick. Fox played through the sprain down stretch of 37 points and victory over Lakers on Sunday."

On Sunday evening, the Sacramento Kings hosted the Los Angeles Lakers in California.

The game was a thriller, and the Kings won by a score of 132-127 in overtime.

De'Aaron Fox was brilliant, putting up 37 points, four rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block.

He got injured during the game but was able to return before getting subbed out for the final 3 minutes and 31 seconds of overtime.

At the conclusion of the game, Underdog NBA provided an update.

Via Underdog NBA: "De'Aaron Fox (ankle) helped to locker room following Sunday's win; no update on status."

Fox is off to a fantastic start to the new season and is one of the best point guards in the NBA.

Therefore, his status going forward will be very important for the Kings.

Frankie Cartoscelli of Sactown Sports 1140 provided more details following Mike Brown's press conference.

Via Cartoscelli: "Mike Brown says that he planned on subbing De'Aaron Fox out, but he stayed on the floor anyway.

As the game went on and Fox's limping increased, Brown and the coaching staff pulled him from the game.

No update on Fox right now, but it's fair to assume he will undergo testing."

In addition, Sean Cunningham of FOX40 News reported that Fox was not available to speak to the media after the victory.

Via Cunningham: "De’Aaron Fox will be unavailable tonight to speak to the media."

Fox was the fifth pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and has spent his entire career with Sacramento.

Last season, he made his first All-Star Game and averaged 25.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 51.2% from the field.

The Kings will play their next game on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors (in San Francisco).
