On Sunday afternoon, the Phoenix Suns will be in Texas to face off with the Dallas Mavericks.   

For the game, Deandre Ayton is listed as questionable on the injury report.

The former Arizona star is in the middle of a solid season with averages of 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest in 55 games (while shooting 59.2% from the field).     

Right now, the Suns are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 35-29 record in 64 games.  

They are 7-3 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.  

However, the Suns are just 14-19 in the 33 games they have played on the road away from Phoenix. 

As for the Mavs, they are 33-31 in 64 games, which has them tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the sixth seed in the Western Conference (the final guaranteed playoff spot). 

Over the last ten games, they have gone 5-5, and they are an excellent 21-12 in the 33 games they have hosted at home in Dallas. 

During the 2022 NBA Playoffs, the Mavs beat the Suns in the second round (in seven games). 

The two teams most recently faced off in January (in Phoenix), and the Mavs won 99-95.

Spencer Dinwiddie (who was recently traded to the Brooklyn Nets) led the way with 36 points, six rebounds and nine assists. 

Meanwhile, Chris Paul had 22 points, six rebounds and ten assists for the Suns.
