UPDATE: Deandre Ayton has been ruled out. 

On Friday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers will be in Tennessee for a showdown with the Memphis Grizzlies.  

For the game, the Trail Blazers will likely be without one of their best players as starting center Deandre Ayton is on the injury report.

Ayton is in his first season with the Trail Blazers and is averaging 14.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 57.0% from the field in 40 games. 

The Trail Blazers have had a tough season and are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 15-42 record in 57 games. 

They are in the middle of a nine-game losing streak and most recently lost to the Miami Heat by a score of 106-96.

In 19 minutes of playing time, Ayton had 12 points, ten rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block while shooting 6/9 from the field. 

Following Friday's game, the Trail Blazers and Grizzlies will face off (again) on Saturday evening in Tennessee. 

On the road, they are 6-22 in 28 games played away from Oregon. 

As for the Grizzlies, they have also had a disappointing season and are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 20-39 record in 59 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are 2-8 over their last ten games. 

At home, the Grizzlies have gone 7-22 in the 29 games they have hosted in Memphis, Tennessee.
