UPDATE: Deandre Ayton has been ruled out.

On Thursday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers will be in Oklahoma to face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

For the game, they will likely remain without one of their best players, as starting center Deandre Ayton is on the injury report (listed as doubtful).

The former Arizona star has missed each of the previous eight games, so this would be his ninth straight out of the lineup (if he doesn't play).

Via Underdog NBA: "Deandre Ayton (knee) doubtful for Thursday."

Ayton has played in 24 games and is averaging 13.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 54.8% from the field.

He is in his first season with Portland after getting traded (via the Phoenix Suns) over the offseason.

The Trail Blazers are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 10-26 record in their first 36 games.

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the New York Knicks by a score of 112-84.

Following the Thunder, the Trail Blazers will play their next game on Friday evening when they visit Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.
