UPDATE: Jared Greenberg of the NBA on TNT reported an update on Devin Booker's injury status going forward.

Greenberg: "NEW: Devin Booker is out tonight due to a left mid-foot sprain which he suffered during Tiesday’s win at Golden State. A team source tells me Booker is aiming to return to action Tuesday pending the results of an MRI which he will receive when the team returns home.@NBAonTNT"

UPDATE: Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reports that Bradley Beal and Devin Booker will miss Thursday's game.

On Thursday evening, the Phoenix Suns will play their second game of the regular season when they face off against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in California.

The Suns are coming off an impressive 108-104 victory over the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco (on Tuesday).

For Thursday's showdown with the Lakers, the Suns could be without one of their best players, as Devin Booker is listed as doubtful due to a foot injury.

Via Underdog NBA: "Devin Booker (foot) listed doubtful for Thursday."

In Tuesday's win over the Warriors, Booker had 32 points, six rebounds, eight assists and one steal while shooting 13/21 from the field and 3/8 from the three-point range in 37 minutes.

He is coming off another fantastic season where he averaged 27.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 49.4% from the field.

The Suns have one of the best rosters in the league with Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, so they will be expected to compete for the 2024 NBA Championship.

Last year, they lost in the second round of the NBA playoffs to the Denver Nuggets (in six games).

Meanwhile, the Lakers will enter the night with an 0-1 record after losing to the Nuggets (119-107) in their first game of the season (on Tuesday in Denver).

LeBron James played 29 minutes and led the way with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists and one steal while shooting 10/16 from the field.
