Fred VanVleet's Injury Status For Rockets-Nuggets Game

Fred VanVleet has been ruled out for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Houston Rockets will be in Colorado to face off against the Denver Nuggets.  

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as starting point guard Fred VanVleet has been ruled out. 

This will be the first game of the season that VanVleet has missed.

VanVleet is averaging 16.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 9.2 assists per contest while shooting 38.7% from the field and 36.6% from the three-point range. 

The Rockets are 8-7 in their first 15 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 6-4 over their previous ten games and most recently lost to the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 121-115 (on Tuesday in Dallas). 

In 41 minutes of playing time, VanVleet had ten points, four rebounds, 12 assists, one steal and one block while shooting 3/9 from the field and 1/7 from the three-point range. 

VanVleet is in his first season with Houston after spending the first seven years of his career with the Toronto Raptors. 

During his tenure with the Raptors, he made one All-Star Game and helped the franchise win the 2019 NBA Championship over Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

Following the Nuggets, the Rockets will play their next game on Saturday evening when they visit LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in California. 

As for the Nuggets, they are the second seed in the west with a 12-6 record in 18 games.
