Fred VanVleet's Status For Raptors-Pistons Game
On Saturday afternoon, the Toronto Raptors will be in Michigan to face off with the Detroit Pistons.
However, they will be without their starting point guard for the second straight contest due to personal reasons.
Via Underdog NBA: "Fred VanVleet (personal) listed out for Saturday."
The 2022 NBA All-Star also missed Thursday's 115-110 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at home in Canada.
He is in the middle of another productive season with averages of 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.6 steals per contest in 50 games.
After finishing the 2022 season as the fifth seed, the Raptors struggled in 2022-23.
They are 29-31 in 60 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference.
On the road, the Raptors are 10-18 in the 28 games they have played outside of Canada.
That said, they are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and 7-3 in their last ten games.
Currently, the Raptors are in one of the final two play-in tournament spots, and they are only 4.5 games back of the New York Knicks for the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot).
As for the Pistons, the team is in rebuilding mode, so they are the 15th seed in the east (last place) with a 15-45 record in 60 games.
They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and 2-8 in their last ten games.
At home, the Pistons are 8-21 in the 29 games they have hosted in Detroit.
