Huge News About Klay Thompson Announced On Wednesday

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced good news about Klay Thompson.

The Golden State Warriors have had an up-and-down season and went into the All-Star Break with a 29-29 record in 58 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

Five-time NBA All-Star Klay Thompson is playing his first full regular season since 2018-19, and on Wednesday, head coach Steve Kerr revealed a positive update about the star shooting guard.

Via Madeline Kenney of Bay Area News Group: "Steve Kerr said the plan is for Klay Thompson to be available for both sides of back-to-backs going forward."

This is excellent news for the Warriors and will likely help them finish the season strong.

Thompson is currently averaging 21.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 39.8% from the three-point range.

He is a future Hall of Famer and has been a significant reason for their success over the last eight seasons.

From 2015-19, the Warriors made the NBA Finals six times in a row (and won three NBA Championships during that span).

When Thompson was hurt for two seasons, the Warriors missed the NBA Playoffs both times.

Last season, he returned in the middle of the year, and the Warriors won the title once again.

Therefore, they have been to the NBA Finals in each of the last six seasons that Thompson has been healthy.

Despite their mediocre record right now, the Warriors are only one game back of Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks for the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot).
