UPDATE: Immanuel Quickley has been ruled out.

On Wednesday evening, the New York Knicks will host the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden in New York City for Game 5 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, they will likely remain without one of their best players, as Immanuel Quickly is listed as doubtful due to an ankle injury.

The former Kentucky star got injured during Game 3 (and he was ruled out for Game 4).

Via Underdog NBA: "Immanuel Quickley (ankle) doubtful for Wednesday."

Quickley averaged a productive 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.0 steals per contest during the regular season.

He is in his third season in the NBA (all with the Knicks) and has helped them make the Playoffs in two out of the previous three seasons.

In the first round, the Knicks beat Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games, which was their first time winning a Playoff series since the 2013 season.

They are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference and have a talented roster, but currently trail the Heat 3-1.

Therefore, a loss would end the series on Wednesday evening.

That said, a victory would force a Game 6 in Miami on Friday night (a potential Game 7 would be back in New York on Monday).

Whoever wins the series will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and face off against either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 76ers have a 3-2 lead in the series with Game 6 in Philadelphia on Thursday evening.
