FINAL UPDATE: Jamal Murray's Injury Status For Nuggets-Hornets Game
FINAL UPDATE: Jamal Murray has been ruled out.
On Saturday evening, the Denver Nuggets will be in North Carolina to face off with the Charlotte Hornets.
For the game, they could be without their starting point guard Jamal Murray, as he is listed as questionable on the injury report.
Underdog NBA: "Jamal Murray (knee) listed questionable for Saturday."
The former Kentucky star is currently averaging 20.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest in 45 games.
He is also shooting an excellent 46.1% from the field and 39.6% from the three-point range.
In addition to Murray playing well, the Nuggets are also the best team in the Western Conference with a 38-18 record in 56 games.
Last season, the Nuggets dealt with injuries (Murray missed the entire season), but they were still able to finish as the sixth seed.
Therefore, if they can have a healthy season, they should be seen as a legitimate contender in the Western Conference.
Over the last ten games, the Nuggets are 5-5, and they are also 12-14 in the 26 games they have played on the road away from Colorado.
Meanwhile, the Hornets are one of the worst teams in the NBA (tied for the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference), with a 15-42 record in 57 games.
They are in the middle of a six-game losing streak and 2-8 in their last ten games.
At home, the Hornets have a 7-17 record in the 24 games they have hosted in North Carolina.
Last season, they lost in the play-in tournament.
