Jamal Murray's Official Injury Status For Nuggets-Trail Blazers Game
On Friday evening, the Denver Nuggets will face off against the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.
For the game, the Nuggets will be without one of their best players, as starting point guard Jamal Murray has been ruled out.
Via Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette: "Jamal Murray is out for tonight’s game in Portland with bilateral tibia inflammation. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is questionable with a right finger sprain."
Murray has played in 41 games and is averaging 20.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per contest while shooting 47.0% from the field and 40.6% from the three-point range.
The Nuggets are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 37-19 record in 56 games.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Washington Wizards by a score of 130-110.
In 31 minutes of playing time, Murray had 18 points, four rebounds, eight assists, three steals and two blocks while shooting 9/17 from the field and 0/3 from the three-point range.
Following the Trail Blazers, the Nuggets will visit the Golden State Warriors on Sunday at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
As for the Trail Blazers, they are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 15-39 record in 54 games.
They are 2-8 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a six-game losing streak.
Following the Nuggets, the Trail Blazers will play their next game on Sunday evening when they host Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets in Oregon.
