Jarred Vanderbilt's Viral Tweet After The Lakers Big Win
On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks (on the road in Texas) 111-108.
Even more impressive, they overcame a 27-point deficit during the game.
One of the stars of the day was Jarred Vanderbilt, who was recently traded to the Lakers (via the Utah Jazz).
The former Kentucky star put up 15 points, 17 rebounds, one assist and four steals in just 27 minutes of playing time.
After the huge win, Vanderbilt sent out a tweet with a photo.
His post is going viral and has over 56,000 likes and 2.4 million impressions.
Vanderbilt captioned his post: "Great team win! Let’s keep it rolling! 💛💜"
On the season, Vanderbilt is now averaging 8.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 24 minutes of playing time.
He is proving to be a fantastic addition to the Lakers and is someone who does all the dirty work (rebounds, steals and hustle plays).
With the win, the Lakers improved to 29-32 in 61 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.
They are 6-4 in their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game winning streak.
Despite their record, the Lakers are only one game out of the tie for the ninth seed, which would have them in the play-in tournament.
They are also just 2.5 games behind the Mavs for the sixth seed, which is the final guaranteed playoff spot.
On Tuesday, the Lakers will play their next game when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies.
