On Friday night, the Boston Celtics are hosting the Utah Jazz in Massachusetts.

For the game, they could be without their best player, as Jayson Tatum is on the injury report listed as questionable.

Underdog NBA: "Jayson Tatum (hip) questionable Friday."

The former Duke star is having another sensational season with averages of 30.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 71 games.

He is also shooting 46.4% from the field and 35.0% from the three-point range.

In addition to his stellar play, the Celtics have been among the best teams in the league all season long.

They are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 53-24 record in 77 games, which has them only 2.0 games back of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks for first.

Over the last ten games, the Celtics are 7-3, and they are an outstanding 28-9 in the 37 games they have hosted on their home floor in Boston.

Last season, Tatum led the franchise to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010.

As for the Jazz, they are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 36-40 record in 76 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and have gone 14-24 in the 38 games they have played on the road away from Salt Lake City.

In 2022, the Jazz lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, but they traded away All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell over the offseason.
