FIANAL UPDATE: Jimmy Butler is available.

UPDATE: Ira Winderman of The South Florida Sun Sentinel provided an update on Butler.

Via Winderman: "Indications are that both Jimmy Butler and Gabe Vincent will be available tonight in Cleveland. Both are listed as questionable on injury report."

On Tuesday evening, the Miami Heat will be in Ohio to face off with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, they could be without their best player, as Jimmy Butler is on the injury report.

Underdog NBA: "Jimmy Butler (quad) questionable for Tuesday."

The six-time NBA All-Star is in the middle of another solid year with averages of 21.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.1 steals per contest (he is also shooting 52.6% from the field).

Butler is in his fourth season with the franchise and has led them to the NBA Playoffs in each of the last three seasons.

In 2020, the Heat made the NBA Finals, and last season they made it to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Right now, they are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 28-23 record in 51 games.

Over the last ten games, the Heat are 7-3, but they have struggled on the road (11-14 in 25 games outside of Miami, Florida).

They are 2.5 games behind the Cavs for the fifth seed and 3.5 games back of the Brooklyn Nets for the fourth seed.

In November, the Heat got blown out by the Cavs (in Ohio) 113-87, but Butler did not play in the game.

The Cavs are currently 31-21 in 52 games and have gone an outstanding 21-5 in the 26 games they have hosted at home in Ohio.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games, and while the franchise has not made the NBA Playoffs since 2018, the drought appears likely to end in 2023.
