UPDATE: Joel Embiid's Current Injury Status For Celtics-76ers Game

Joel Embiid remains listed as questionable on the 12:30 Eastern Time injury report.

UPDATE: Joel Embiid is available.

On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Boston Celtics for Game 4 of their second-round playoff series.

2023 MVP Joel Embiid missed Game 1 with a knee injury but has returned and played in each of the last two games.

James Harden's sensational 45-point performance led them to a victory in the first game, but they have lost each of the last two with Embiid back in the lineup.

For Sunday's game, the superstar center is listed as questionable (the latest injury report came out at 12:30 Eastern Time).

Since he is listed as questionable and played in each of the last two games, all indications point to him playing on Sunday afternoon.

The NBA tweeted at 12 P.M. Eastern Time: "Joel Embiid, 76ers look to protect home court and even the series against Jayson Tatum and the Celtics!"

Embiid has averaged 21.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.2 blocks per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field through the first five games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

The 76ers will need a victory to avoid falling into a 3-1 hole with Game 5 back in Boston on Tuesday evening.

Over the last six seasons, the 76ers have made the NBA Playoffs every year, but Embiid has never been able to lead the team out of the second round.

Whoever wins the series will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals to face off against either the New York Knicks or Miami Heat.
