BREAKING: Karl-Anthony Towns' Final Injury Status For Timberwolves-Lakers Game
On Tuesday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in California to face off with the Los Angeles Lakers for the play-in tournament.
For the game, they will have one of their best players in the starting lineup, as Karl-Anthony Towns has been upgraded to available.
Underdog NBA: "Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) listed available to play Tuesday."
The three-time NBA All-Star only played in 29 games this season but had solid averages of 20.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest.
Towns also shot 49.5% from the field and 36.6% from the three-point range.
Last year, he helped lead the Timberwolves to the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season.
They beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the play-in tournament and then lost to the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs (in six games).
This year, the Timberwolves finished as the eighth seed with a 42-40 record, which was disappointing considering they went 46-36 in 2022.
Over the final ten games of the season, they went 7-3 and are in the middle of a three-game winning streak.
On the road, the Timberwolves have gone just 20-21 in the 41 games they have played away from the Target Center in Minnesota.
The winner of Tuesday's game will be the seventh seed and face off with the Grizzlies in the first round.
As for the Lakers, they are 43-39 and went 8-2 over their final ten games.
They are 23-18 in the 41 games they have hosted in Los Angeles, California.
