Kevin Durant's Official Injury Status For Timberwolves-Suns Game
On Wednesday evening, the Phoenix Suns are hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves in Arizona.
For the game, Kevin Durant is officially listed as questionable on the injury report (he has missed each of the last ten games due to an ankle injury).
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the 13-time NBA All-Star will make his return on Wednesday.
Charania: "After missing 10 games with a sprained ankle, Phoenix Suns All-NBA star Kevin Durant will make his return Wednesday vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves barring setback, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium."
Durant was traded to the Suns (via the Brooklyn Nets) last month, and in three games with his new team, he has outstanding averages of 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest.
He is also shooting 69.0% from the field and 53.8% from the three-point range (in those three games).
The Suns come into the night with a 40-35 record in 75 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 4-6 in their last ten games but also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
At home, the Suns have been good, going 24-12 in the 36 games they have hosted in Arizona.
As for the Timberwolves, they are the seventh seed in the west with a 39-37 record in 76 games.
They are on a four-game winning streak and 5-5 in their last ten games.
On the road, the Timberwolves are 18-20 in 38 games played away from the Target Center.
